Exciting News

I haven’t been doing too much knitting lately, life has been super busy but I do have a bit done to show you all. My Hermione’s Everyday Socks are done!

Butterbeer and Pumpkin Juice

I absolutely love these, the pattern just looks so fantastic and they feel absolutely amazing! I’ve been wearing them so much, I think these are one of my favourite pairs I’ve made myself so far.

The Harry Potter themed knitting doesn’t stop there though, I’ve been continuing to read the books and I found another awesome Hagrid, knitting related quote that I just thought was so awesome.

Hagrid Knits Socks!

Hagrid darns his socks, with yellow yarn! Which makes me think that Hagrid likely knit himself yellow socks which is just so cool, especially since I am working on a yellow sock series right now. I think that one of my pairs just has to be Hagrid themed now and the more I think about it, the more I really want to design them myself. So I think that I am going to be designing a sock pattern that is more than my usual just improvise something for myself type socks soon which I think is really exciting.

What I’m even more excited about though is that I have decided to start my very own podcast! I think that podcasting will be a lot of fun and it will be nice to be able to actually talk about out loud what I have been working on and show things a bit more easily than just taking photos of them. I’ve been working away at things I need to get done to get it ready to go and I think that I am almost there now. I’m hoping to start in May so keep your eyes peeled if you’re interested and I will post about it here with my show notes when it finally comes out (I think it’s going to be a weekly podcast). I’ll still be blogging here as well but I think that the format will change a bit (hopefully for the better) and I’m also hoping that having the podcast as well as the blog will help me post more often because I’ll have a regular schedule going.

Happy knitting everyone!
