Today my brother Luigi gave me two new fibrey related books that I had really been wanting to read for my birthday. They are Respect the Spindle by Abby Franquemont and At Knit’s End by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee (The Yarn Harlot)! I’m very excited about Respect the Spindle as it will give me a chance to learn some actual real spinning techniques which will be really nice and hopefully improve my spinning and so far At Knit’s End is just as entertaining a read as I thought it would be.
My parents have also given me a nice crochet hook set so I think I will be making some amigurumi in the near future as I finally have all the correct sized hooks to make them turn out properly. I’m really looking forward to making some more amigurumi as I have been wanting to for quite a while now (I made a couple of Groots from Guardians of the Galaxy before but that’s it). Any suggestions on what I should make first?
Also as you can see in the top picture, the Leyburn socks have been coming along quite well and I’m on the home stretch now. Soon I will be back to working on the Gandalf socks again.
The Internet has been quite bad here lately and I haven’t been able to get on to write a post in ages it feels like, so if it feels like I haven’t been posting lately that’s why. I think it’s fixed now though so fingers crossed it stays that way.
