Sock Sunday: Meriadoc

It feels great to have socks on the needles again! The second Fellowship of the Socks sock has been started as of yesterday and it’s starting to look good.

This is the Merry Socks pattern by Claire Ellen from the Fellowship of the Socks collection. This time I am making the large size and the yarn I am using is Berocco Ultra Alpaca Fine again in a really gorgeous dark green heather colour and the socks feel wonderfully soft and squishy.

I am really enjoying this pattern so far, much more than the Legolas Socks. I think it’s because it’s less fiddly and easier to keep track of where you are and what you are supposed to be doing because the cables are more intuitive and there isn’t that traveling panel to keep track of. Since I’ve started knitting these socks and enjoying it a lot, I’m really looking forward to knitting all the rest of the Fellowship of the Socks patterns too.

I hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday and are enjoying whatever you are working on today.
