Here’s what’s on my spindle this week.
It’s the first of 6 parts of the BFL I picked up a couple of weeks ago. I’m going to be making a 3-ply to knit some socks (more socks!) so I’m planning to spin it into two balls so that the socks will match with little effort on my part.
So far I am loving spinning the BFL, it’s so easy to spin! I wasn’t expecting it to be this easy at all, and it’s actually quite soft and light too. I think that I will be buying some BFL next time I get fibre and maybe I’ll get a different breed as well to branch out a bit. The spinning has been going pretty slow this week as I have been concentrating on the fire and ice socks and the sweater but hopefully I will be spinning more this week as I don’t have socks to knit and I won’t be casting on another pair until February.
I have been making a lot of progress on the sweater this week, I have finished the front and the back and woven in all the ends. I also tried it on and it fits perfectly, it’s a million times better than the first time I knit the top part. I am so glad that I decided to rip it out and reknit it with different needles, I probably would have never worn it the way I was turning out before but now it’s likely to become one of my favourite sweaters. Now all that is left is the neck band and the sleeves (Not looking forward to those), maybe I will be able to get it all done in a couple of weeks.
